Our Family Planning program provides women with essential healthcare services that can help them make informed decisions about their reproductive health, including when to have children and how to prevent unintended pregnancies.

  • Birth Control Services: Options and information to help you make informed choices in preventing unintended pregnancy 
  • Gynecological exams: thorough check-ups to ensure your reproductive health
  • Pap Tests: Regular screenings to detect any early signs of cervical cancer
  • Breast Exams: Examinations to maintain breast health and detect potential issues
  • Anemia, Diabetes, and Cholesterol Screenings: Comprehensive tests to monitor your overall health
  • STD and HIV Screening, Testing, and Treatment: Confidential services to prevent and manage sexually transmitted diseases
  • Pregnancy Testing: Pregnancy testing and assistance with enrollment in pregnancy medicaid available.
  • Preconception Health Counseling: Guidance for a healthy and well-planned pregnancy
  • Health Education: Insights on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and needed immunizations

Community Health Assessment / Community Health Improvement Plans

Community Health Assessments (CHA) and Community Health Improvement Plans (CHIP) have been created for the three counties we serve.

The community-wide health assessment, which examines the county’s health status, is intended to help shape the collaborative efforts to improve the health of residents.

The community health improvement plan describes how the Health Department and a variety of community partners will work together to improve the health of the population through various projects and programs.

What’s an epidemiologist?​

Epidemiologists are public health workers who investigate patterns and causes of disease and injury. They seek to reduce the risk and occurrence of negative health outcomes through research, community education and health policy.
